Tirlán awarded Bord Bia Origin Green Gold Membership for 2026
Tirlán has been awarded Bord Bia Origin Green Gold Membership for 2026, recognising the co-operative’s continued leadership and progress in sustainability across its environmental, social and governance priorities.
Origin Green is Ireland's national food and drink sustainability programme, bringing together farmers, food producers, manufacturers and retailers to drive measurable sustainability improvements throughout the supply chain.
Gold Membership is awarded to Origin Green verified companies that demonstrate significant progress against sustainability targets in areas including emissions reduction, water stewardship, sustainable sourcing, waste reduction, packaging and social sustainability.
This marks the sixth time Tirlán has achieved Origin Green Gold Membership since the award was introduced, reflecting the co-operative's sustained commitment to delivering measurable sustainability outcomes across its farming and business operations.

Dr Lisa Koep, Chief ESG Officer at Tirlán, said: "We are delighted to receive Bord Bia Origin Green Gold Membership for 2026. Achieving Gold membership for the sixth time reflects the long-term commitment of our farm families and colleagues across the business to embedding sustainability throughout our operations and supply chain. It is recognition of the measurable progress being made in areas such as climate action, water quality, biodiversity, sustainable farming and responsible business practices.”
Sustainability remains a core focus for Tirlán through initiatives that support farm family sustainability, biodiversity, water quality, climate action and operational efficiency across the business.
The award further reinforces Tirlán's position as a sustainability leader within the Irish agri-food sector and recognises the collective efforts of its farm family suppliers and employees in delivering measurable impact year after year.
