Tirlán Co-op nominates Frank Tobin to Ornua Board
The Board of Tirlán Co-operative Society has confirmed the nomination of Frank Tobin to the Ornua Board of Directors as the Tirlán Co‑op nominee.
Frank Tobin’s appointment to the Board of Ornua follows his retirement in November 2025 from his role as Chief Investment and Strategy Officer and as a Board member of Tirlán. His career with Tirlán spanned almost 46 years, beginning as a trainee accountant and progressing through senior leadership roles including Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and most recently Chief Investment and Strategy Officer. Over these decades he has played a central role in shaping the organisation during a period of significant change within both Tirlán and the wider agri‑food industry.

John Murphy, Tirlán Chairperson, said that Frank Tobin brings significant expertise and a strong track record within the agri‑food sector. “His experience and insight will be valuable as the Board continues to guide Ornua’s strategic development and supports the long‑term success of Ireland’s dairy sector.”
John Murphy thanked the outgoing Tirlán nominee, Diarmuid Lally, for his contribution to Ornua and wished Frank Tobin well in his new role. Frank Tobin will join the Ornua Board after their forthcoming Annual General Meeting.
