The programme includes significant learning opportunities with senior leadership, including spotlight events and the opportunity to showcase their learnings through the annual Tirlán Graduate Summit.

Michael O’Leary, Chief People, D&I and Organisational Development Officer, said Tirlán understands and appreciates the appetite of today’s graduates for meaningful career experiences, further learning opportunities, exciting progression prospects and hybrid working.

“Tirlán, as a farmer-owned cooperative, has a huge impact on our communities. What our graduates do will make a difference to people locally and globally. We care about sustainability and working in balance with nature.

“We work in partnership with graduates to help them achieve their ambitions. Graduates on the programme will receive formal development, ongoing, structured coaching by their manager as well as career and development planning. Work-life balance and flexibility is crucial, and our structured programme of social events include team building and away days.  We also care about their wellbeing and mental health and focus supports in these areas. We have opportunities for eager and enthusiastic graduates to ‘unearth your future’ by engaging in real work,” said Michael O’Leary.

“I’ve learnt so much since I’ve started - in everything from customer service to farm advice, to animal nutrition. The opportunities are endless and they are there to be grasped. You get to meet people here who will help you throughout your life. I really enjoy working with people and the continuous opportunities each day to learn and grow,” he said.

Kyeesha Glenn-Davi, R&D Associate, enjoyed her undergraduate work placement with Tirlán so much that after completing her Masters in Bioprocessing at University of Limerick she applied for a Graduate position. “What stood out most for me was how kind and supportive everyone is at Tirlán. They’re happy to share their knowledge. The collaborative culture here means you get broad business exposure.

“While I now work on the Advanced Analytical Team within R&D, we also work very closely with Quality and Commercial and have had interactions with customers, the Executive Leadership team and farmer representatives. It all gives you a wider view of the business, you can see where you fit in and add value.”
